Azzurra, in Marina del Ray, is a 19-story luxury condominium high-rise known for its spectacular views of the city and it's strategically placed artwork in both his museum and in many of its condo units. It offers the condos for both leasing and purchasing, and owners are spoiled like no other place they can think of.
Let's start by talking about the views. Each residence, 450 in fact, which ranges from one to three bedroom units, has floor to ceiling clear glass walls, including the glass and faces towards the outside. This offers each condo a panoramic view of the city, no matter which direction it's facing, and each unit also has large balconies, some that offer upwards of a 270 degree view. Some condos face the ocean, while some face the mountains and Santa Monica Bay. Leasing can run from $ 4,500 to $ 6,000 a month, while purchasing a condo can run from $ 700,000 up to over $ 5 million, which are obviously the 3,300 square foot penthouse suites; the smaller condos have around 1,900 square feet.
If you want to talk amenities, Azzurra has them in abundance. Let's start with the pool-terrace, landscaped with a sunbathing deck. It even has an outdoor area for barbecue, a fire pit, cabanas and an outdoor Jacuzzi. There's a fitness center that offers both group activities and personal fitness training. It's a secure building with 24-hour valet parking, and offers both a media gallery, where residents can gather to watch TV and movies together, have parties or meetings, or just hang out, and a sky lounge that has a fireplace, gas barbecue grills, another Jacuzzi, and lots of seating for parties, including many instances where people get together just to watch the sun set.
However, what the Azzurra is known for is its art, or rather, its art exhibitions. In 2007, Azzurra won two gold awards at the 2007 National Sales and Marketing Awards. The way they showcased their art collection earned them the Gold Award for Best Brochure for a community over $ 1 million. The other award was for Best Special Promotion for its Artist Reunion Event held in 2006.
On the mezzanine and lobby levels, Azzurra showcases art and photography from various artists. On its upper levels, they always showcase one artist, sometimes changing artists, but many times one artist's life work. The penthouse, for example, exhibits the artistry of Andy Warhol, while in 2009 the 3rd floor is highlighting the photography of Dennis Hopper; yes, that Dennis Hopper, the actor/ director who, as it turns out, also has an artistic eye.
Being only 20 minutes from Beverly Hills and 30 minutes from Los Angeles, as well as quick accessibility to boating and sailing, shopping, and entertainment, Azzurra is a step above the rest, and a place where its residents feel as though they're treated better than royalty.
